APRIL 2020 NEWSLETTER

IGNIGHTING PASSION IN A PANDEMIC

April arrived in a force of vengeance. 95% of the business I had on my calendar was totally canceled. Weddings, bike races and two events had pulled the plug. Rightfully so. The world at the start of April was gripped with COVID-19 and I was looking for ways to keep busy. Below are a few of the projects and things I got involved during April.

GOLF TROUT TOURNAMENT

Back in the Fall I helped promote an amazing event called the Golf Trout Tournament. This tournament is an event that gets people together to fish the Yampa River, play some golf and raise money and awareness about the amazing Yampa River. All the proceeds from this tournament go to helping keep our Yampa River a wild and special place and I’m excited to have brought this project to a close.

FAMILY PHOTOS

Its not always my go to line of work but for the right people I love to do it. My friend Alex and Mindy are about to have a baby soon and we thought it would be fun to head north, social distance a little bit and shoot some fun shots of them before the new kiddo arrives.

SNOWMOBILING COMES TO AN END

I bought a snowmobile for a multitude off reasons. Try a new activity, explore new terrain and have some fun. But it was all short lived as I planned to sell it in the spring. I may get back into it next season but for right now, that money was put into other passion projects I have planned for 2020. Here are a few snippets from the last trip out on the ole steed before she moved to Grand Junction for the summer.

PURE ZONE ANTIMICROBIAL VINYL

Per the conversation above, I took a large portion of the snowmobile sale money and invested it in a vinyl cutting machine. This machine I will use with my brother to apply a really cool anti-microbial laminate material to business all across Colorado. It is my COVID-19 side hustle. Its a really amazing product and I hope you look into it. Check out our website.

PAOLI GROUP SBT GRVL

The Paoli Group is one of my favorite clients in my business. They are an incredible team in the real estate business and what they do for our community in Steamboat is amazing. They are involved in one of my favorite races called SBT GRVL andI produced a fun video for them to raise awareness of their awesome involvement in this event

FINAL THOUGHTS

If you look above it may seem that I’m cranking and staying busy. To an extent this is true however it does not change the fact that 90% of my income has halted due to COVID. It has been a wonderful time to reflect, be with family and tackle long overdue things I’ve needed to do. In the end, my business has seen some adversity that I am working on overcoming

If you are still reading this, thank you. It means a lot that my work in the world is of interest to you to this extent. I encourage all people right now to be humble, cherish the blessings while we have them and be present in one of the most interesting times of the earth’s history.

Much love,

Benny
